Émilie Lalande's choreographic adaptation of an animated masterpiece is a beautiful and powerful ode to freedom for young and old alike.
Émilie Lalande's choreographic universe is at once highly visual, poetic and musical, making her creations accessible to young and old alike. Inspired by Paul Grimault's film Le Roi et l'Oiseau (The King and the Bird), the choreographer tackles themes of freedom, love and oppression with the aim of transcribing, through the dancers' bodies, the musicality and humor of Jacques Prévert's texts.
