DANCEWORKSHOP n°11 : Meeting a dance work
This workshop invites Festival audiences to a number of events focusing on the issue of mediation practices in dance and the dissemination of knowledge about the works: an awakening of the eye in connection with BIRGET; ways to deal, ways to heal by Elle Sofe Sara (with the participation of students in the Bachelor of Dance programme at the Université Côte d’Azur and the Pôle National Supérieur de Danse Rosella Hightower), a meeting with students in the Master of Dance programme at the Université Côte d’Azur on the work of Amala Dianor, an on-stage discussion following Sous les fleurs by Thomas Lebrun, an afternoon of reflection and exchange with artists, researchers and professionals from the performing arts.
+ Atelier de la danse no. 11: Encountering a work of dance
What does it mean to be a spectator of a work of dance? How can we support them in their relationship with a piece of choreography? Is it a question of educating the viewer? What tools should be made available? This workshop invites Festival audiences to a number of events based around the question of dance mediation practices:
