MOV'IN Cannes, a dance film competition

Cannes, city of 7th Art and Dance, presents “MOV’IN Cannes”, a competition organized as part of the Cannes – Côte d’Azur France Dance Festival, to be held from November 22 to December 7, 2025. An event that forms part of the Cannes On Air and 100% EAC (Artistic and Cultural Education) schemes launched back in 2014 by David Lisnard, Mayor of Cannes.

Didier Deschamps and Éric Oberdorff are responsible for the artistic direction of this original event dedicated to dance films. The competition will run for one year. Applications open on FILM FREE WAY on Wednesday November 20, 2024.

The selected films will be screened and the winners announced on Thursday November 27, 2025 at the Cineum in Cannes, in front of festival-goers and a jury of dance and film professionals.

Two ways to enter the competition:

  • Via partner international dance film festivals.
  • Via a call for entries on the FILM FREE WAY platform from November 20, 2024 to April 1, 2025.
Selected films will be announced in June 2025.
